We’ve listened to the feedback from our subscribers and here’s your treat for taking the time to talk with us. Cubby is now fully integrated into Otixo.
Cubby offers up to 25 GB of free storage and has great security for your files along with multi-device syncing. If you’re not a Cubby user, check them out!
In planning how to create an even brighter Otixo future, we’ve had to make a serious business decision:
Otixo will no longer offer a free account.
This new direction will help us support you even better – bringing our users new features, more clouds and more personalized support.
Today, all free accounts will start a 14-day free trial period, after which, we sincerely hope users will continue to support us by purchasing a monthly or yearly subscription for unlimited use of Otixo.
Here’s more information about the subscription plans:
As part of these changes, we’ve also decided to make our mobile app, Photixo, free. Get it today at the iTunes App Store or the Google Play Store!
Please join us on this journey to help Otixo redefine how we live, work and play in the clouds.
With the Christmas advent of Photixo, there’s a new addition to Otixo that’s long overdue: Facebook!
Whether you’re using your mobile device or working in the browser, Facebook via Otixo makes moving pictures easier. With Facebook via Otixo you can:
create new albums
upload new photos
manage existing albums
backup Facebook albums into your other clouds with just a click
As an added bonus: Do you ever wish you could share Facebook photos with someone who doesn’t have Facebook? Now you can. Use Otixo to Share photos via email or attach whole albums to a Space.
We’d love to hear how all our Android users are liking Photixo! Leave a comment here, send us an email, or tweet @otixo!
If you discovered Otixo through CX (or if it was the other way around), you’ve most likely heard about CX’s recent changes to their Terms of Service. In case you haven’t, here’s a brief summary of the changes:
CX’s 10 GB Starter free account will now require that users log in at least every 15 days.
Existing CX Users can upgrade for just $.99 a month (here).
CX will mark existing free accounts as inactive if they are not logged into at least once every 15 days. If 15 days goes by without a login, the CX account will be marked as inactive and will no longer be accessible for free. CX grants these Users a 30 day grace period to purchase a plan and re-activate the account.
CX’s Desktop Sync will be a paid feature beginning in 2013. It will be included (for a limited time – until December 31, 2012) in the $.99 a month upgrade CX is offering to their existing users.
We checked with CX this morning and can confirm that accessing your CX account through Otixo (ie. clicking on CX when you’re in Otixo) will count as an activity, thus keeping your account “active” and free.
So if you’re stoked about CX, you’ve got something to add to your calendar – click around in your CX account via Otixo every 15 days OR pay them $.99 a month for your 10 GB account.
Your Otixo account was updated this morning to include a new Cloud Provider: Alfresco. Login to Otixo right now to connect your Alfresco account and get even more Otixonized cloud harmony!
Alfresco offers some great features for businesses. Here are our favorite perks:

We rolled out an exciting new integration today – Huddle! As of this moment you can seamlessly integrate your cloud services with Huddle’s enterprise content collaboration platform.
Using Huddle with Otixo reduces the typical challenges associated with managing several cloud services across devices – all without compromising enterprise security and compliance requirements. Of course, Otixo also provides a simple, lightweight access layer for Huddle’s files that brings them to any device with WebDAV support.
Connect Huddle to your Otixo account today and let us know what you think!
If you follow us on Twitter or Facebook, you may have noticed some great Otixo news last week. In case you haven’t heard, Otixo CEO, Shannon (shown below), and Otixo Employee #1, Molly, won the grand prize at last week’s DEMO Challenge in Denver!
The 18 Denver area startups that made it to the final round of the competition were given 4 minutes and 30 seconds to demo their products in front of 1500 people. The demos were part of a two day conference organized by the Colorado Technology Association called DEMOgala.
Thank you so much to all of our users for their continued support and feedback. Your constant input propels us forward and really helps us prioritize development. Speaking of development, Otixo will use the $25,000 to develop our mobile applications!
In the next few weeks we’ll be adding Alfresco in the Cloud to our repertoire! Alfresco’s free account provides 10 GB of storage with more pricing information available here.
Take a look at their video to learn more about the service:
Shannon Thomas, Otixo’s CEO, is particularly excited to support Alfresco, as the need to support business use cases grow.
With the integration of Alfresco, Otixo makes its first foray into the enterprise and finally connects your work and home life into a single place. Now you can search for any file, no matter what services it resides in, or move it from your Google Drive, Dropbox, Skydrive, etc. account into Alfresco with a simple drag-and-drop…whether you’re at your desktop or on the road.
Alfresco is just one of the new integrations in our pipeline. Stay tuned for some exciting new partners in Otixo!
